A Message from the President:
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the black community. 110 years ago, Delta Sigma Theta was founded on the campus of Howard University by 22 illustrious women on January 13, 1913. Since the founding of Delta Sigma Theta, the sorority has grown tremendously with over 350,000 initiated women and over 1,060 chapters located worldwide. The Tantalizing Tau Eta chapter was chartered on the campus of Brenau University on April 21, 2000 by 10 dynamic women. Since 2000 Tau Eta has impacted the Gainesville community on and off campus by continuing to host many events that are based on their sorority’s 5 point programmatic thrust. After 10 years of being inactive we are excited to be back on campus and are ready to continue what our founders started; social action. All of the members of Tau Eta can’t wait to meet each and every one of you during this upcoming academic year! |
