What is the National Panhellenic Conference?
You will hear it referred to as "Panhellenic" or "NPC". NPC was founded in 1902, and is made up of 26 women's sororities. This governing body works to advance the sorority experience as well as ensure that campuses operate in the best interest of all members of the Greek community. You can learn more at npcwomen.org.
What is National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc.?
You will hear it referred to as "NPHC". NPHC was founded in 1930, and is made up of the nine historically African-American international fraternities and sororities. NPHC works to coordinate the exchange of information and cooperative programming and initiatives among its member organizations. Learn more at nphchq.org.
Should I go Greek?
Deciding to join a sorority can have a big impact on your college experience. Consider the opportunity, weigh your options, and check it out! Although being Greek is not for every student, it can be a wonderful decision for you.
